The NeuroState Train App

100+ Games.
One Plan Built For You.

Take a full Brain Test in the app, choose what you want to work toward, and get a four-week plan built around both. NeuroState Train decides what to train, how often, and how hard — so a large catalogue becomes one clear session a day. Start with 14 days of full access. The NeuroState Cap is entirely optional.

Every feature free for 14 days. Cancel any time — the free tier is still yours.

Multi-Domain Challenges

Many games load two cognitive skills at once — closer to how real tasks feel than an isolated drill.

Comparable Results

Every game reports the same measures, so progress in one domain can be read against another.

Consistency, Not Just Speed

Reaction-time variability is tracked alongside accuracy. Steadiness is its own signal.

Growing Every Release

New games are added regularly and land in your plan automatically when they fit your goals.

How it works

Test. Train. Adapt.

One recurring loop: establish a starting point, train through a guided plan, adapt as you go, and recalibrate every month.

1

Take the Full Brain Test

A detailed in-app assessment across the cognitive domains. This is what your plan is built from — no hardware needed.

2

Training Setup

Tell it your goal and how much time you can commit — focus, learning, mental sharpness, an event, or a specific skill.

3

Get Your Plan

Training Setup asks a few questions, then builds a four-week plan with selected games, a schedule, and a starting difficulty.

4

Complete Workouts

Short sessions several times a week, led by today's recommended workout.

5

Adapt as You Train

Difficulty and recommendations respond to your performance and your feedback.

6

Retest Monthly

Review your trends and receive a refreshed plan for the next cycle.

What you train

Six Domains.
Measured, Then Trained.

Your in-app Brain Test result maps directly onto the training domains, so the plan you get reflects the profile you actually scored.

Focus & Attention Holding a target while the screen argues with you.
Processing Speed How fast you turn what you see into a decision.
Working Memory Keeping things in mind while you use them.
Executive Control & Flexibility Switching rules without losing the thread.
Reasoning & Problem Solving Finding the pattern before the pattern changes.
Memory & Learning Holding new material and getting it back later.

Your plan

A Library Is Not A Plan.

Opening a catalogue and picking something is a decision, not training. NeuroState Train builds you a four-week plan from a short assessment and a few questions about what you want to improve.

Your Plan

Open the app and it's ready — around 13 minutes, five games, focused on the domains selected for you. One recommended session, one clear next step.

Quick Train

Short on time? A focused workout in as little as eight minutes, still counting toward your plan.

Explore Games

Browse and play freely outside the assigned plan. Follow your plan — or explore on your own.

Your goal

Train With A Goal.
Not Just A Score.

Before your plan is built, you say what you're working toward. The same library produces a different programme depending on your answer.

Staying mentally active and engaged

Stay Mentally Sharp

A balanced routine across memory, attention, processing speed, reasoning, and mental flexibility.

Working with focus at a desk

Improve Focus & Productivity

Concentration, working memory, task switching, and cognitive control.

Taking handwritten notes while learning

Learn & Remember More

Attention, working memory, learning, and recall-based activities.

Rehearsing before a presentation

Prepare For An Event

A time-bound programme around an exam, presentation, interview, competition, or deadline.

Practising a musical instrument

Strengthen A Specific Skill

Memory, focus, speed, reasoning, language, visual-spatial ability, or another area.

A varied, balanced approach to training

Balanced Brain Workout

A varied programme without having to pick a specific outcome.

The rhythm

Pick The Load
You'll Actually Keep Up.

Light

Three days a week, around 8 minutes a session. Seven games across four domains — enough to build the habit without rearranging your week.

Standard

Four days a week, around 12 minutes. Ten games across six domains. The recommended setting, and where the plan's progression is tuned.

Intensive

Five days a week, around 18 minutes. Twelve games across seven domains, for a defined push — exam season, a competition, a demanding stretch at work.

Every four weeks you retake the Brain Test and receive a refreshed plan, so the domains you've improved make room for the ones you haven't.

Progress

See What Four Weeks
Actually Did.

Three things tracked separately, so you can see what actually changed without reading more into it than the numbers support.

Brain Test Trend

How your baseline has moved between monthly retests, domain by domain.

Training Progress

How far you've climbed within the games themselves, tracked separately from your test results.

Workout Consistency

How reliably you've shown up. Kept separate from performance, because turning up is its own measure.

Two ways in

One App.
Two Ways To Reach It.

NeuroState Train works on its own, and it works inside NeuroState. One account covers both, so nothing has to be rebuilt or re-earned if you add the cap later.

Standalone

Download NeuroState Train On Its Own

Install it from the App Store and start training in a few minutes. No cap, nothing to set up. The account you create here is your NeuroState account — so if you add the cap later, you sign in to NeuroState with the same details and your plan, Brain Test history, and training progress are already there.

Inside NeuroState

Already Have The NeuroState App?

NeuroState Train is built into it, under the same account. Your training, Brain Test results, Sessions, and activity history sit in one place, and the cap connects to all of it.

How the difficulty works

Most Apps Get Harder
When You Win.

NeuroState Train adjusts challenge based on how you actually perform, and asks you how the workout felt. Add the optional NeuroState Cap and EEG cognitive-workload information gives that picture more context.

Phone only — no hardware

Progressive Training

Clear a level and move up. Struggle and it eases back. You get the full plan, daily sessions, and progress tracking with nothing but your phone.

Optional — with the NeuroState Cap

EEG Workload Context

If you add the cap, it reports cognitive workload while you play — context for how demanding an activity actually was for you, alongside how well you performed. The same session can look very different depending on what it cost you.

Tell It How That Felt

After a workout you can say whether it was too easy, about right, or too hard. Your next session adjusts to your lived experience, not just your score.

A Plan That Fits Real Life

Fall behind and the plan can shorten sessions or ease the frequency rather than stacking up a backlog you'll never clear.

Try The Short
Brain Test Here.

A quick assessment across six cognitive domains, right in your browser — no signup, no download, no hardware. You get a score for each domain and a sense of where you stand.

It's a taster, not your plan. When you install NeuroState Train and create an account, you take a longer, more thorough assessment in the app — that's the one detailed enough to build a four-week plan from, and it's what your monthly retests compare against.

Neither test is a medical or diagnostic assessment.

Changed your mind?

Cancel, And Still Train

Cancel before day 14 and you're never charged. You don't lose the app either — your account moves to the free tier, with a selected set of games across every cognitive domain, daily sessions, and your progress history kept. No time limit.

How the trial works. You choose a plan and add a payment method when you sign up. The first 14 days are free. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically at the price you selected and renews each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your App Store account settings. Cancel during the trial and you are not charged, and your account moves to the free tier rather than closing. Prices shown in USD; local pricing is set by the App Store.

Optional add-on

Add The NeuroState Cap

Entirely optional. Eight-channel EEG with PPG and motion sensing, adding EEG cognitive-workload information, neurofeedback, guided Sessions, and brain metrics on top of everything above.

Get the Cap

Before You Download.

Is NeuroState Train a separate app?

Both. You can download NeuroState Train on its own from the App Store, and it's also built into the NeuroState app. The account you register with in the standalone app is your NeuroState account — so if you buy the cap later, you sign in to NeuroState with the same details and your plan, Brain Test history, and training progress carry over automatically. Nothing is lost and nothing needs rebuilding.

Is the Brain Test on this site the same one in the app?

No — they're two different tests. The one here is short and runs in your browser with no signup, so you can get a quick read on where you stand. The one in the app is longer and more thorough, because it has to be detailed enough to build a four-week plan from and to compare against on every monthly retest. You take the in-app test after creating your account; results from the short web test don't carry into it.

How do I cancel?

From your App Store account settings, the same place you manage every other subscription — we can't cancel it for you and you don't need to contact us. Do it at least 24 hours before day 14 to avoid being charged. Cancelling doesn't delete your account or your training history; you move to the free tier.

Do I need the NeuroState Cap?

No — the cap is entirely optional. Every game, your training plan, and your progress tracking all work on the phone alone. The cap is an add-on that layers EEG cognitive-workload information, neurofeedback, and brain metrics on top.

What do I get during the 14-day trial?

Everything. The complete game library, your personalised plan, monthly recalibration, and full progress history are all unlocked from the moment you install, for 14 days. You choose monthly or yearly and add a payment method at signup, but nothing is charged during the trial.

What happens when the trial ends?

Unless you cancel, the plan you chose at signup starts automatically and your training carries on with nothing unlocked or lost. If you'd rather not continue, cancel at least 24 hours before day 14 from your App Store account settings — you won't be charged, and your account moves to the free tier instead of closing. You keep a selected set of games across every domain and all of your progress history.

What does the subscription cost?

$59.99 a year, which works out at $5.00 a month, or $11.99 billed monthly — you pick which at signup. Billing starts after the 14-day trial unless you cancel, and renews each period until you do. Cancel any time from your App Store account settings. Local pricing is set by the App Store.

Is it on iPhone and Android?

NeuroState Train is available now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The Android version is in development and will be released on Google Play — the same account and subscription will work across both.

How long is a session?

Around 13 minutes for five games on the Standard setting. Light sessions run about 8 minutes and Intensive about 18. Quick Train builds a shorter session when time is tight.

Does this diagnose or treat anything?

No. NeuroState Train is a general wellness and cognitive-training program. The Brain Test and training results are not medical or diagnostic assessments and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any disease or medical condition.
